Description  US M1924 Officer's Saber Chain
Price $ 32.50

Original US Interwar Period officer's saber chain assembly, complete and excellent. This example was imported, as attested by the "France" stamp atop the suspension snaphook. Assembly consists of a series of flattened S-links, with a snap-swivel affixed to lower end and a saber hook and belt chape snaphook unit at top. Finish is nickled overall, and condition is near-new. These chains were authorized in 1924 for wear with the officer's M1921 Sam Browne belt, and continued in service until the flashy and distinctive rig was essentially abandoned in 1942. These chains are surprisingly difficult to find on the loose.
